Craig Bickerstaffe
Contracts Manager - Leeds
My name is Craig Bickerstaffe and I am the Contracts Manager for the Leeds and surrounding areas. I have worked for NBC for nearly 9 years and have enjoyed every minute. I started off as a trainee falconer working on landfill flying bird of prey to deter gulls to becoming what I am today.
I have many clients throughout Leeds and surrounding areas who I provide bird and pest solutions for including Leeds and Bradford Airport, Kirkstall Brewery but we also help out one of the biggest Universities in the UK at Leeds. Over the years Leeds University have ongoing issues with pests and NBC are now situated on site 5 days a week to help and assist with all the Pest Solutions from Pigeons, Gulls, rodents and insects. We have been there preferred contractor for over 5 years and have recently just been awarded an extension as a result of the hard work and commitment we offer and provide.
I have both large and small customers such as Bettys Bakery who also suffer from ongoing issues in relation to gulls and feral pigeons. To help deter these we use a falconer who flies freely a Bird of Prey to deter them from site to prevent any issues on expensive stock. We provide the solutions to protect the health and safety of our clients and their varied businesses.
Many businesses in the Yorkshire areas have regular issues and requirements for the control for pests such as rats and mice, our rapid response teams always react with priority and efficiency in a very professional manner to address the problems being experienced in order to protect our clients and their business from the risks posed by pests.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family. I have 3 sons aged 17, 12 and 7 who all play football. I am a level 2 football coach and I have the great honour of being the main football coach for all my 3 sons football teams which as you can imagine is both enjoyable and exciting at the same time. I am a huge Manchester United fan and a proud season ticket holder.
