Prevent birds roosting and nesting on generator discharge stacks 

Our client, Allaway Acoustics, contacted us to prevent birds causing an issue at its new data centre. Due the height of and the high temperatures generated in this environment the discharge stacks would the perfect environment for birds to roost and nest. Bird activity in this area would have had devastating consequences for the new data centre as it would have not only meant disturbance to operations but would have also put the integrity of the investment at risk.

Our Solution

Our traditional nylon net was not a suitable option for this environment due to the high temperatures generated which would have caused the net to inevitably melt. With this in mind, we installed a stainless steel net called Webnet in order to prevent birds nesting and roosting on the stacks.
