NBC fly at the Suffolk Show 2019
Thousands of visitors descend to Suffolk Show each year to celebrate East Anglia’s finest industries and professionals with more than 800 companies exhibiting their latest products and services. The two day event is jam-packed with attractions and competitions, as well as lined with shopping and food stalls – there is no shortage of things to do.
This year NBC Environment were invited to the Suffolk Show to promote how our services support local businesses manage conflict with wildlife. Crowds were drawn to our stand to see our working birds of prey up close, and learn more about how they operate in the field deterring nuisance gulls and other pests. Flint, our Great Grey owl, also made an appearance – he was a firm favourite at the show with his photogenic personality.
We were able to bring along one of our two-week old peregrine falcon chicks from our Breeding Programme. Children and adults alike were fascinated by the fluffy chick that will soon grow to be a hunting bird for our excellent falconry service. You can stay up to date with the progress of all our chicks on our social media channels.
Our birds had their time in the spotlight in one of the performance rings and given the chance to spread their wings. Visitors were in awe of our spectacular bird displays demonstrating the high standards we train our birds.
The show was a great opportunity to interact with members of the community and be part of the region’s highlight of the year.
