2018 See’s the 25th Anniversary of NBC Environment and a Major Celebration

John Dickson NBC Environment Meets Prince Charles 1994The company was founded by Managing Director John Dickson with a Prince’s Trust Grant in 1993 as NBC Bird Solutions. John received mentoring from the Princes Trust and even won an award in 1994 for Young Entrepreneur of the Year where he was lucky enough to meet Prince Charles.

As the change in branding would suggest, the business has since grown to become one of the most successful independent environmental consultancies in the UK. This position was bolstered by the strategic merger with Blackdown Environmental, now a wholly-owned NBC Environment company, in January 2017. Blackdown offers ecological consultancy and environmental contracting to support the rural economy.

Working in partnership with customers, NBC remains true to its original values providing strategic environmental planning integrated with sustainable ecology, bird and pest solutions. NBC’s services have been developed to remove the risk of nature adversely impacting upon commercial activities by delivering comprehensive business protection. We work with clients in sectors such as facilities management, health and safety, construction and property management, and much more, to ensure their working environments remain hazard free and compliant.

2018 marks the 25th anniversary and NBC will be celebrating this milestone by fundraising for the Princes Trust to help give other businesses the opportunity to have the same support NBC has received all those years ago.

In April, we are hosting a conference to promote environmental sustainability in business.
