Andy Baxter – Bird Strike Management
Andy Baxter is confirmed as a speaker at the upcoming NBC Environment Conference in April.
On Monday April 23rd 2018 we will be celebrating 25 years of NBC environment by bringing you a conference ‘Creating a Sustainable Environmental Strategy; Innovation in Environmental Sustainability and Compliance’.
We are extremely pleased to announce that Andy Baxter will be joining us at the conference to discuss the responsibility of all business’s to manage bird strike hazard and best practice.
Andy is the managing director at Birdstrike Management Ltd, a company set up to continue the development of delivery of best practice standards in wildlife hazard management to wider aviation industry. Andy sits as an expert advisor on the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)’s Wildlife Hazard Management Group, was co-chair of the UK Civil Aviation Authority Birdstrike Committee and is currently involved in wildlife strike risk management for major infrastructure developments and airports around the world.
After working across the UK, Europe, New Zealand, Antarctica and the Middle East, Andy provides vast experience of the drivers behind wildlife risks, options for managing risks and the techniques needed to deliver evidence based solutions to wildlife management problems. As major and minor building infrastructure occurs around the UK, flight safety and wildlife management risks conflicting with biodiversity and greenspace development. Andy discusses the drive to ensure a continuing delivery of environmentally sensitive developments without compromising the very real threats to air safety.
